#Dontbethatguy campaign
The THAT GUY campaign is about supporting men to reflect on the way that guys act towards women and to know when to speak up and safely step in, to stop a mate going too far.
Women should be able to go about their daily lives without worrying about being sexually harassed, assaulted, or raped. But for too many, that’s not the case.
Men speaking up about the harassment, abuse and intimidation of women really matters, but guys often don’t realise how powerful their words and actions can be.

Homelessness: A Safeguarding toolkit for practitioners
Homelessness and its underlying causes are multifaceted. The term covers a range of situations, including people who are street homeless or sleeping rough, single individuals living in emergency or temporary supported accommodation, households legally recognised as homeless and seeking assistance from local authorities, and the 'hidden homeless'—such as those ‘sofa surfing’.
The growing homeless population presents considerable challenges for agencies striving to provide preventive support and interventions that address complex needs. This tool has been designed to assist practitioners from statutory bodies, charities, and third-sector organizations in gathering information in a way that enables lawful decision-making and fosters effective interventions.

Supporting those with Hidden disabilities
Hidden disabilities can make daily life a challenge, yet they often go unrecognised or misunderstood.
Those living with these conditions might face unique struggles in work, social settings, or public spaces. Because their disabilities aren’t obvious, they may encounter skepticism, bias, or even dismissiveness by others. This lack of understanding can add to the emotional burden they carry.
Conditions such as chronic pain, mental health disorders, sensory sensitivities, ADHD, Autism, and learning disabilities are just a few examples of hidden disabilities that impact millions of people every day.
Empathy and awareness are crucial. By recognsing that some disabilities aren’t visible, we can foster a more compassionate, inclusive society. Simple actions, like offering patience and avoiding quick judgments, make a real difference in creating supportive environments for everyone.
Accessibility isn’t just about physical accommodations; it’s also about creating an understanding, adaptable mindset that respects each individual’s unique experience.

Tackling Youth Smoking and Vaping: Webinar
Most adult smokers first tried smoking when they were under 18. A smoker who started young is even more likely than a smoker who started at an older age to become ill or die from it.
About 400,000 11- to 15-year-olds in England have tried smoking at some point and about 100,000 smoke now. More than three 15-year-olds out of one hundred smokes more than once a week.
In 2024, the 18% of 11–17-year-olds who have tried vaping amounts to around 980,000 children. This graph demonstrates the trends over the past year.

Elbow grease and tech: fighting the plastic crisis
On the slopes of the Himalayas, on the beaches of the uninhabited Henderson Island in the south Pacific, even Antarctica isn’t spared. And nowhere is plastic more of a headache than the oceans. While litter picking on land is fairly straightforward, once plastic gets into the deep ocean it is a nightmare to remove. Plastic has even been found in the deepest point on Earth, the Mariana Trench, 11,000m below the surface. An estimated 8 million metric tonnes of plastic waste enters the world’s oceans every year – where it stays forever.
